To deliver a quality and appropriate primary health care service to our regional community, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of the Mackay region that is tailored to meet their health needs. ATSICHS Mackay Ltd is committed to providing holistic health care to raise the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the ATSICHS Mackay Ltd Service Area. To work in partnership with regional community and other health service providers to ensure services are appropriate and accessible for our peoples.
Quality Policy
ATSICHS Mackay Ltd provides quality management, co-ordination, health services throughout the Mackay and surrounds. The Organisation has developed its expertise since its establishment and its aim is to achieve a high standard of health care and service to its consumers and other affected parties.
It is the policy of ATSICHS Mackay Ltd to provide the consumers with services to the agreed requirement in accordance best practice and high quality services.
The Directors, Management and Staff are responsible for Quality Control through the Quality Management System seeking improvement by constant review. The Organisation is committed to achieving customer satisfaction by the use of quality procedures which will be operated to meet or exceed the requirements of
ISO 9001.
Our History
The Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service (Mackay) Ltd was established in 1978 by the Mackay & District Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander community. The purpose of this service was to improve primary health care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Mackay regions and as a policy advocacy and development body for all Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people in the Mackay district.
